This Privacy Policy explains how CytSoftware ("we", "us") handles information in the Social mobile app (the "App"). By using the App you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account: your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code and to identify your account. You also choose a handle and display name.
- Content you create: photos, videos, and voice notes you capture in the App, along with captions, comments, and reactions. An optional location label is plain text you type yourself.
- Connections: the friends you mutually add and any accounts you block.
- Device & technical: if you enable notifications, a push token; plus app version and basic operational logs needed to run and secure the service.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your precise location or GPS. The "location" on a post is only the text you type.
- We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell your personal information.
How we use information
- To provide the App: deliver your sign-in code, show your content to the friends you've added, and run features like the daily points pool.
- To send notifications you've enabled.
- To keep the community safe — reviewing reports, removing content that breaks our rules, and enforcing our Terms.
- To meet legal obligations.
How information is shared
- With your friends: your posts, profile, and points are visible only to people you've mutually added. There are no public profiles.
- Service providers: infrastructure and email-delivery providers who process data on our behalf under contract.
- Legal: when required by law or to protect users' safety.
Data retention & deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the App. Deletion removes your account and content from the service and revokes your sessions; residual copies in backups are purged on our regular backup cycle. You may also contact us to request deletion.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Authentication codes and session tokens are stored only as hashes, and session tokens are kept in your device's secure storage.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Your choices & rights
You can access and update your profile in the App, control notifications, block other users, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your data; contact us to exercise them.
Changes
We may update this policy; we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the App.
